At Mercure Charlestown, we strive to combine high hotel comfort and accessibility, ensuring a memorable stay for our guests while maximising inclusion and accessibility of people with a wide range of diversities and abilities.
We are actively exploring and implementing strategies to increase accessibility. Already we are proud to offer accessible options such as level access ground floor rooms with easy car access, walk in showers in some bathrooms, level access rooms with space for free movement around beds, ramp access at entrance thresholds, stair rails for every set of stairs, pool access rail, sun shades in pool area and a range of seating options, individual air conditioning units and controls for every room, opening windows in every room to allow for fresh air, non-smoking rooms and a designated smoking area on our grounds.
Furthermore, our onsite restaurant, Madison Kitchen & Bar, has stair rail accessibility, optional personal assist by our friendly staff if required, large open space between tables, a diverse range of menu options inspired by local and international cuisine, a large number of gluten free, dairy free and vegan options on the menu, caeliac friendly cooking facilities are an option, private dining area available if needed, cost effective kids menu.
